    Born on 7th June 1965, Damien Hirst is one of the Young British Artists and United Kingdom’s richest artists who dominated the art world during the 1990s.     For the Love of God is a sculpture by Damien Hirst done in 2007. The sculpture is a platinum cast made out of an 18th-century human skull enveloped with 8601 pristine diamonds. It also includes a pink pear-shaped diamond positioned in the forehead known as the Skull Star Diamond. It depicts victory over decay as well is linked to Africa’s blood diamond trade.

    The Physical Impossibility of Death

    The Physical Impossibility of Death is an artwork by Damien Hirst done in 1991. It contains a thirteen-foot tiger shark preserved in formaldehyde. Like most of his works, this also depicts death but it also depicts the fear humans have when they are face to face with a dead shark, if it were living, could have killed them. This stimulates terrifying scenarios in one’s mind.

    The Spot Painting is a series of paintings by Damien Hirst done in 1986. It consists of a large number of different colored hand-painted spots which hypnotize and disorients the mind in such a way one gets high after taking drugs. It depicts how drugs are infiltrating everywhere, covering the entire world with the increase in their demand similar to these paintings.
